Artists 4 Israel’s Righteous Among the Nations Global Mural Project is Educating the Next Generation About the Holocaust through Murals, Street Art, Film, Social Media, Public Works, Press and Technology

The Righteous Among the Nations Global Mural Project models heroism to prevent antisemitism and provides a blueprint for Holocaust education in the next century. The Righteous Project rips the stories of the Holocaust out of dark museums and dusty textbooks and puts them in the public square – virtually and literally – where every citizen must interact and, thus. learn from them. By featuring heroes from the city where the mural is placed, painted by local artists, telling a story of great courage, we create a social obligation to help the Jewish people when needed. Righteous foregoes shame and blame in antisemitism prevention and focuses on upliftment.

Righteous removes barriers to entry for Holocaust education and provides it in a context that people - tens off thousands on the street and tens of millions online - must see, interact with and embrace. Coupled with influencers, cloud-based videos, on-site QR code technology, online educational content, and social media & traditional press elements, the Righteous project embraces the most effective forms of modern communication. The film and art will empower altruism, bravery and courage within the next generations in the face of the current threats to the Jewish Community.

Artists 4 Israel’s mission statement says that we “prevent the spread of anti-Israel bias…” Prevention remains fundamental to our actions and through RIGHTEOUS we believe that by giving people an opportunity to align themselves with allyship and extraordinary acts of bravery, we will prevent new enemies and create powerful new friends and partners.
