Catch the Healing Ink Discussion at LA Jewish Film Festival

Hosted by the LA Jewish Film Festival and in partnership with the Jewish Journal, Artists 4 Israel’s Healing Ink Documentary premiered publicly for the first time to a full online crowd Thursday, June 11 .

Moderated by Executive Director of the Los Angeles Jewish Film Festival, Hilary Helstein, both Artists 4 Israel CEO Craig Dershowitz and trip co-sponsor, Rick Matros, answered questions regarding the complex nature of the program.

The unique documentary follows Artists 4 Israel’s first Healing Ink mission to Israel in 2016, where eight of the world's most renowned tattoo artists cover the scars, both physical and emotional, of terror survivors and war heroes with unique works of art, helping them reclaim their bodies and share their stories.

Healing Ink is now in its fourth iteration and has spread to the US, with Israeli artists offering their skills to first responders of 9/11 and more recently the Virginia Beach massacre.
