Sponsor A Mural In Your Community
In 2018, the Consulate of Israel in Los Angeles, LAPD and Artists 4 Israel came together to paint a mural of hope on the iconic Hollywood High School.
The mission was simple: Make a change using art.
An otherwise normal crossing, the busy Sunset Boulevard intersection was the perfect place to make passers by question the meaning behind the beautiful, multi-story mural. The several design influences celebrate the openness and diversity of both Israel and Los Angeles and remind everyone that these students are our future.
MORE IMPORTANTLY, it showed that Israel and Artists 4 Israel were part of the social and cultural fabric of the community. The artist, as all press discussed, was a Puerto Rican who had been to Israel with A4I and had fallen in love with the country. This was a mural bringing together Los Angeles, Black and Brown communities and, of course, Israel. It being sponsored by the Israel Consulate is a continued reminder of our influence on their soft advocacy approach.
Wondering how you can see more public displays of unity like this? Help Artists 4 Israel spread messages of positivity by sponsoring a community mural in your neck of the woods.
