THE ART OF COALITION BUILDING

The Art of Coalition Building helps mobilize relationships that go beyond the usual partners. Our graffiti T-shirt program, with its proven successes[1], is now paired with strategic services for a program that supercharges coalition building.

Each program creates a huge line of highly diverse, excited students gathered for several hours. We now utilize this opportunity to deliver new campus maps, new leaders, new coalitions, and new Fact Finders.

 ALTERNATIVE CAMPUS MAPPING

Artists 4 Israel’s trained Coalitions Building Experts (CBEs) “work the line” engaging and befriending participants. The results are otherwise difficult to obtain contact and biographical info. Through these efforts, we can create non-traditional campus maps that identify unique leaders and less well-known campus groups.

INSTANTLY CONNECT TO LEADERS

On the spot, we introduce the most well-connected and influential students to Hillel partners who have an instant opportunity to excite students about Leadership Trips. A4I’s CBEs, along with Hillel staff, if they wish, pour through student data after the event to recognize patterns and make initial contact with latent partners

ON THE SPOT MOBILIZATION

Long lines create the opportunity for students to prove they can get other students activated, the same abilities needed to turn out students for a vote. Anyone who shows up and then brings 10 or more friends to the event can skip the line. Immediately, we know who is most able to mobilize their friends and bring out individuals for a purpose.

FORGING NEW COALITIONS

The strategy of every phase of the campus visit is to uncover the points of connection and hand deliver new coalition partners. Our organic, personal approach enables connections not just with official campus organizations – which MTF partners already connect with – but to identify undiscovered, unaffiliated or unexpected campus players. Those bringing a group together may be super influencers without official titles – perfect candidates to be MTF Fact Finders.
