Your Vote for Life Saving Murals: Beautifying the Bomb Shelters of Sderot

Beautifying Communities in Israel and Turning Artists into Advocates One Bomb Shelter at a Time

My Post (11).jpg

It’s not uncommon to see Israeli children crying as they run into a bomb shelter. Even when there aren’t any rockets, the association made with bomb shelters in Israel can be triggering for families on their everyday walks to school or to the park.

Responding to acts of terror, Artists 4 Israel yearly brings international teams of the world’s greatest graffiti and street artists to transform the structures that constantly remind Israelis in the Gaza envelope of the dangers lurking just around the corner; creating a calming oasis for families when they need to escape and sharing with the world the resilience and strength of the Jewish people.

By doing so, we turn outsider artists who paint these beautiful images into supporters of the country, artist-advocates for the world’s only Jewish state; creating an international love and support for Israel in the artistic community.

Artists 4 Israel is the FIRST organization to paint bomb shelters across Israel and the ONLY one using the world’s most influential artists, creating powerful artist advocates.

Trek through the Israel-Gaza border on Wednesday, February 3 and join Artists 4 Israel for a one-of-a-kind exhibition of bomb shelters-turned-outdoor-art-gallery. Meet Craig Dershowitz, CEO and visionary of the painting project and Ely German, an Argentine art student (and A4I’s first International Artistic and Cultural Mission Mentee) who is helping to fight anti-Israel hatred on college campuses while battling BDS with art.

Here is how you can make a difference in this region from thousands of miles away. Dedicate a bomb shelter masterpiece in honor of, or in memory of, a family member or life event.
